Tech leader with side quests. The day job is large‑scale AI partnerships at Meta. The rest — building, writing, living well — is what I'm figuring out in public.
I'm Marty — tech leader with side quests, and a work in progress.
My career started in CPG — Nestlé, then Diageo, learning how things actually move from a factory to a consumer's hand across Asian markets. That taught me distribution. Tech taught me leverage — Uber, DoubleVerify, and eventually Meta, where I now run some of the largest telco partnerships in Southeast Asia. On a good day, the work is the last mile of AI — moving hundreds of millions of people closer to technology that actually serves them. On a harder day, it's six markets, ten partners, and a calendar that needs therapy.
The side quests started early. Years of coaching indoor spinning — watching people find a threshold they didn't know they had taught me more about transformation than any career framework. Later came the AI agent for small retailers in emerging markets — placed first at INSEAD San Francisco. A GenAI startup pitch that scored top marks at INSEAD Fontainebleau. A clothing brand I co-founded — ethically manufactured, five years in. None of these were planned. All of them taught me something the career couldn't.
I did my Executive MBA at INSEAD Singapore — specialising in AI, on a Diversity Scholarship — not to get a certificate but to stress-test my thinking alongside people navigating harder problems than mine. It worked. I came out with a clearer sense of what I actually want to build next, and a network of people I'd go to war with.
The fourth thing — living well — is the one I'm most honest about being imperfect at. High performance without self-destruction is what I'm aiming for, mostly. I care about my health, my relationships, the food I eat, the music I listen to, the places I go when I need to remember what matters. I'm figuring out how to hold all of it together without something important falling apart. This site is partly where I think that through out loud.
I'm based in Singapore. I'm building toward something I can't fully name yet. And I'm genuinely glad you're here.
Drop me a line if you're working on something interesting at the intersection of AI and business — or if any of the writing here resonates. I read everything; I reply when I can.
Selected projects, partnerships, and ventures. The work page is being assembled. For context on what I do at Meta and beyond, see About or LinkedIn.
Long-form writing on AI, business, and what I'm figuring out. The first piece on this site is in progress — until then, the Substack archive is where to start.
Talks, demos, and recorded conversations. Nothing up here yet. Once I have something worth showing, it'll live here.
Small AI builds and tools I'm shipping. The first one is in progress. In the meantime, follow along on LinkedIn or Substack for what I'm working on.
